Parent Support Partners - Peer/Parent Advocacy

Parent Support Partners (PSPs) are a group of parents with lived experience in the Child Protection System trained as Parent Advocates to provide peer/parent advocacy services.

The purpose of the service is to support parents experiencing care proceeding with Child Protection Conferences and ensure parents' views and wishes are heard.  Also, help the parents to understand their rights, responsibilities, and options and prepare them for the Child Protection Conferences.

Parent Support Partners (PSPs) will always put the welfare of the children at the centre of their practice.  Parent Support Partners (PSPs) are the bridge between parents and professionals supporting to find balance and better communication in Child Protection Conference and achieve the best possible outcome for the children and their families.
